The poor cowbird! Its mommy abandons her egg in the nest of another species, it is reared by cruel stepmothers, and it is taunted on the playground with catcalls of "Who's your daddy?" Is it any wonder the cowbird's song sounds like fingernails on a blackboard?
How can I get permission to use this photo in an education course (for a non-profit) I am writing? I'd appreciate any assistance...email me at afaoffice@afabirds.org
Every day, the weather gods and the photography angels willing, a new photograph will be posted here. Some will be from my archive of nature photographs, taken both from our cabin on the shore of Lake Superior in Upper Michigan and in the garden of Three Crowns Park in Evanston, Illinois. From time to time I'll sneak in a shot or two taken while indulging in other passions.
MY BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE AS EBOOKS AND PAPERBACKS ON AMAZON.COM
