Great shot! I love the way the rails and rock ballast work with the subject. Maybe you could crop a little to make the subject larger, but then you'd lose some of the impact of the rails.
If you crop at all, I'd crop from the bottom only, making this a wider and shallower photograph. The diverging rails at right and left really need to be kept.
Every day, the weather gods and the photography angels willing, a new photograph will be posted here. Some will be from my archive of nature photographs, taken both from our cabin on the shore of Lake Superior in Upper Michigan and in the garden of Three Crowns Park in Evanston, Illinois. From time to time I'll sneak in a shot or two taken while indulging in other passions.
MY BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE AS EBOOKS AND PAPERBACKS ON AMAZON.COM

Do you have any more photos of railroad workers in your archive? If so, I'd love to see them.
Thanks for your perspectives, fellows. I do have a few more shots of railroad workers and will post them anon.
