This one was a lucky grabshot. I was aiming at the bird feeder in the back yard when I sensed movement to my left, then spotted the squirrel crawling down a tree 15 feet away. I swung the lens toward him and tripped the shutter the instant before he panicked and departed the premises.
Every day, the weather gods and the photography angels willing, a new photograph will be posted here. Some will be from my archive of nature photographs, taken both from our cabin on the shore of Lake Superior in Upper Michigan and in the garden of Three Crowns Park in Evanston, Illinois. From time to time I'll sneak in a shot or two taken while indulging in other passions.
MY BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE AS EBOOKS AND PAPERBACKS ON AMAZON.COM

I'm always amazed when I see these critters balance on a tree upside down. Defying gravity.
I didn't get quite so lose tho. I had no food on me ;)
Cheers
