Here's the first fruit of my new tabletop photography outfit: a 90mm macro lens, a collapsible light tent and two photo lamps to illuminate the subject. That is a 2 3/4-inch-long N scale model of the Alco RS-3, a 1,600-horsepower diesel locomotive built between 1950 and 1956. It's a leftover from a model railroad I built into a coffee table many years ago.
