It wa...That's a crib constructed of stone and logs. It was intended by its builders (in the 1940s) to protect the shoreline. Actually all it does is cause the sand to pile up on the west when the wind is from the east, and vice versa.<BR/><BR/>That hose no longer exists. It brought water from the lake to the Writer's Lair for plumbing (not drinking) use.
